What inspires you?
Seeing my family enjoying a comfortable life and being able to do what I want inspires me. 

Tell me about your job. What attracted you to this career?
Currently I work in Cybersecurity with a focus in Risk and Compliance. God placed this career in my hands after keeping my faith strong and praying daily. My father got me started into IT as early as 7th grade.

What obstacles did you overcome to get to this point in your career?
Obstacles I overcame include: Coworkers not wanting me to succeed (as an entry level engineer). Moving to unfamiliar States for career advancement. Sacrificing time to study and learn independently about my field. 

How does a person progress in your field?
Progression in Cybersecurity is up to you, same as any field. Certifications, trainings, days in the field and other Cyber personnel. Understanding and being able to articulate how systems, services, process, and protocols fit into the unified goal of the Company. Time spent with the right mentor to challenge you and provide feedback. 

Do you have any advice you would like to give future and current college students? 
My advice, Major/Specialize in something geared toward a financially secure position. Look into what it takes to excel in the career you want after school. Connect and surround yourself with like-minded people.
